The restaurant did not choose its name from a book. From the rooftop at The Sitting Elephant in Rishikesh, you can watch elephants cross to the far bank of the Ganga to drink, unhurried, enormous, and ancient. That moment, repeated at dusk for as long as anyone can remember, is the whole story. We simply built a table beside it.

Himanshu HarnwalI had an absolutely fantastic stay at Ellbee Ganga View! It's perfectly located near Triveni Ghat and offers plenty of parking, which is a huge plus in Rishikesh. We were guided about the hotel by their very polite staff Mr. NITIN ..... The hotel has a wonderful four-star boutique feel, and the staff are incredibly courteous and fast. My room was incredibly spacious, clean, and hygienic. Dining at The Sitting Elephant restaurant was a real highlight—the food is exceptional and the service top-notch. I also really enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the complimentary high tea!
JOYDEEP BASAKThe hotel's location is excellent, just a short walking distance from Triveni Ghat, making it very convenient for sightseeing and attending the Ganga Aarti. The staff were polite, courteous, and always willing to help. The food was delicious, and one of the highlights was the rooftop café, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Ganga Aarti. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The washroom was equally spacious and came with an attached bathtub, which added to the comfort of the stay. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely choose to stay here again whenever I visit Rishikesh.
